Frequently asked questions
What exactly is changing?
Sokuni has acquired selected Red Orka assets and is carrying forward the circular kidswear mission. Red Orka’s former rental service is not continuing. Shopping and resale take place under Sokuni’s own services and terms. There will be a new way of a circular loop.
Is Red Orka becoming Sokuni?
Not as a legal merger or full business takeover. Sokuni is a separate business. It has acquired selected assets connected with Red Orka, but it has not assumed Red Orka’s historic contracts or liabilities.
Is Red Orka closing?
The previous Red Orka rental operation has ended and will not continue through Sokuni. What continues is the circular mission: helping families keep good children’s clothing in use for longer with the ultimate goal to reduce textile waste.
Can I still rent children’s clothes?
No. The former Red Orka rental model and rental subscriptions will not continue at Sokuni. Sokuni focuses on shopping, reselling and extending the useful life of children’s clothing. With a new circular loop you will be able to buy clothes and with reselling them to sokuni you'll get better re-sale conditions.
What is the Sokuni Loop?
The Sokuni Loop lets you buy eligible items at Sokuni, use them, and later offer them back to Sokuni for resale. If an item is accepted, you receive five percentage points more of the resale price than under Sokuni’s standard consignment terms.
Does five percent more mean five percentage points?
Yes. The Loop uplift is five percentage points on the consignor’s share of the resale price. For example, if the standard consignor share is 40%, the Loop share is 45% for an eligible accepted Sokuni purchase. If it is 45% it will be 50% and so on.
Is every Sokuni purchase eligible for the Loop?
Eligibility depends on the item being identifiable as a sokuni purchase and meeting Sokuni’s current resale acceptance standards, including condition, cleanliness, season, demand and resale value. Acceptance is not automatic.
How do I prove that I bought the item at sokuni?
Keep your receipt or order confirmation. Sokuni may also be able to verify the purchase through its sales records. The item must be identifiable as the same item originally purchased at Sokuni.
When can I return an item for resale?
You can offer it once your child has outgrown it or you no longer need it. Sokuni will assess it under the acceptance standards that apply at that time.
Does sokuni buy the item back from me?
No.The sokuni Loop is a resale or consignment service, not a guaranteed buy-back. Ownership, payout timing and any unsold-item arrangements follow Sokuni’s current consignment terms.
Can I return a worn item for a refund?
No. The Sokuni Loop is separate from the right to return a recent purchase. Used items offered later are assessed for resale under the Loop and are not treated as retail returns.
What condition must an item be in?
Items should be clean, fresh, complete and in good resale condition, without significant stains, holes, damage or excessive wear. Sokuni may decline items that are unsuitable for resale.
What happens if my Loop item sells?
Sokuni pays your agreed consignor share after the sale in accordance with its current consignment terms. Eligible Loop items receive the additional five-percentage-point uplift.
What happens if my item does not sell?
The treatment of unsold items follows Sokuni’s current consignment terms. Depending on those terms and the arrangement made when the item is accepted, it may be collected, discounted, donated, recycled or otherwise processed after a certain period of time.
Can I bring other brands or items not bought at sokuni?
Yes, if they meet Sokuni’s current consignment criteria. They are handled under the standard consignment terms and do not receive the Sokuni Loop uplift but the sokuni resale conditions are anyways worth reselling.
What happened to my Red Orka rental subscription?
Sokuni did not take over Red Orka’s historic rental subscriptions or subscription obligations. Questions about payments, credits, refunds or the closure of a Red Orka account remain matters relating to the business that entered into that agreement with you.
Can I use a Red Orka gift voucher or credit at Sokuni?
No. Red Orka vouchers and credits were issued by Red Orka and were not assumed by sokuni as part of the selected asset acquisition. They cannot be redeemed at sokuni unless sokuni expressly confirms a separate goodwill arrangement in writing.
Did sokuni take over Red Orka’s debts or customer claims?
No. Sokuni acquired selected assets only. It did not acquire the Red Orka legal entity or assume its historic debts, customer claims, refunds, credits, subscriptions, rental contracts or other liabilities.
What about my personal data?
Sokuni only uses personal data that it lawfully receives and needs for its own services, and handles that data under its own privacy notice. If you receive an update from Sokuni, you can unsubscribe from marketing at any time. Questions about historic Red Orka records should be directed to the party responsible for those records.
Why sokuni?
Sokuni shares the circular mission while offering families a wider way to participate: curated preloved kidswear, selected responsibly sourced pieces, resale and the sokuni Loop. The aim is to make circular choices practical, attractive and affordable.
